Welcome to The Broadacre Hotel, New Romney

Barbara Smith, who has been propriertress since 1980, family and staff aim to provide a pleasant and friendly atmosphere to all guests during their stay at the hotel.

The hotel is situated in a quiet street parallel to the high street of New Romney. Originally built as a farmhouse, the main entrance and six of the nine bedrooms are believed to have been built in the 17th Century. The remaining three bedrooms, in a converted cottage, and the restaurant, date from the 1860’s.

Once known as The Gables, it was used as a country club, before becoming a hotel.

The single storey addition added early in the 20th century was an estate agents, this is now used as
the bar.
